I saw that Jessica Simpson was going to play Daisy Duke in the upcoming Dukes of Hazzard movie. I wasn't sure who she was, so I went to IMDB.

She has 73 entries in IMDB, and in all of them she played "Herself".

It seems that it's assumed that I already know who she is.

I don't.

Wanna fill me in?

She is a singer who has also done a reality TV show, and is apparently now branching out into acting. I can't vouch for how good a singer she is since I don't generally listen to the latest music out there.

She's perhaps best known for being the sister of Ashlee Simpson (Cecelia, Simon's former girlfriend, on Seventh Heaven).

Ashlee Simpson, the no talent sister of the semi-talented Jessica Simpson. Ashlee was caught lip-synching on SNL. Of course, her stupid fans 'forgave' her, even though she never once sang a song w/o electronic help. Music is dead.

For some reason I'm remembering that Jessica Simpson was the blonde chicky who didn't make the new Mousketeers Club, losing that honor to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilara.

IMO, she's made considerable hay out of her dumb blonde act. I don't think for a minute she really is that dumb. Britney, OTOH....
