What does SO* mean? I see it a lot here at Hatrack, and it is driving me crazy. On top of that, is there any Interneteze Dictionaries I could look up for quick referencing of commonly used symbols?

I think that it's a hatrack meme coming from tons of people starting threads like "So, <insert phrase/sentence here>" that they started putting * to make fun of the fact that they do that. Or something. You know, it's a question that I've always been not completely sure of the answer myself.
