Hey all. I haven't been writing much because... well, I guess I've never been top poster here, so most of you probably didn't notice. But the other reason is that I've moved. I was computerless for a week or so, then I've been on dial-up for two more weeks. But Comcast finally got their junk in gear, and I'm back in the wireless broadband fold. So I thought I'd take this opportunity to let you know I'm back, bee-yotches!

Also, I'm no longer in the bosom of Hatrack Central. I've moved from the familiar Wasatch front to the middle of nowhere: Albuquerque, NM. My wife is in pharmacy school, so we'll be here for about four years. Last time I asked, there wasn't another Jatraquero in the entire bleedin' state, so I don't suppose I'll be running into many of you. But, on the plus side, now the foul hand of the 'Rack extends deeper into the southwest. And if anyone needs any kind of gaudy turquoise and hand-beaten silver hookups, I get to be the connection.

Anyway, just saying hello. That's all. As you were. [Wave]

Congrats on the successful move!

I've lived in ABQ before and loved it. Hope you find it the same.

Did you not have a high Speed connection before??

Well, then, my musical friend, let me introduce you to www.etree.org

Albuquerque is the only city in the west I would want to live in, if I had to live out west.

Ho! Speed!

I brought Vapor Trails to work today, coincidentally...

Did that post remind anyone else of that beloved song by one of my favorite artists?

"Where the sun is always shining and the air smells like warm root beer/ where the shriners and the lepers play their ukeleles all day long and anyone on the street will gladly shave your back for a nickle/ wacka wacka zulu yeah!"

[Big Grin]

You know, that's odd that you should mention it... I wasn't sure that I was so keen on moving down here. But whenever I felt nervous, I just reminded myself that Albuquerque was one of my favorite Wierd Al songs, and one of my favorite Neil Young songs as well. So it can't be all that bad a place.

quote:
Well they say that Santa Fe is less than 90 miles away
And I got time to roll a number and rent a car
Oh, Aaaa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aa-aal-buquerque

It is a great song.

Honest, Speed, it is a great place. I was only four when I lived there, and it was 37 years ago, but I still have very clear images of its beauy.

And then, there is Taos.
