Last week I was in Orlando, at Disney/MGM Studios theme park during their Star Wars celebration.

I have pictures of me and my dad with the Emporer. With his motorized chair, my father is begining to look a bit like Vader.

Anyway we caught the big parade. The center peice was a calvacade of villians, from Cruella DeVille to the bad guy from Hunchback. Last, and in prime importance was Darth Vader. He strode down the rode with precision menacing steps.

A few groups later out came "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers."

My first thought was, "Man, I'd love to see what would happen if these hero's bumped into Darth Vader. They'd last about 14 seconds."

I passed this on to my 13 year old nephew. He said I was evil.

I am unsure. The destruction of the Power Rangers would be considered a good thing by many.

I then began wondering how the rest of those Disney hero's would stack up against lord Vader.

Hercules as a diety, maybe.

Genie may survive, if Darth didn't mind-trick him into a bottle.

But the others? Ariel= Sushi, Tarzan = jungle fertilizer. Donald would be plucked and roasted.

Only Mickey, with all the force of his marketing empire, could stand a chance of defeating Vader--and some say that Disney/Mickey is the Darkside anyway.

Later I passed the line for autographs given by Jedi Mickey. Yeah, Jedi. Ha.

So, have I turned to the Dark Side?

Yes... Good, Good! Give in to your hate! Feel it flow through you. Your anger makes you stronger. Now go kill the Power Rangers. [Evil] Seriously, they deserve to die.

*ahem*

"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you."

Of the Power Rangers. [Razz]

Perhaps the saddest slide to the dark side the force has ever seen.

Made sence to me, I don't think you have gone to the Dark Side.

Wishing Vader upon Disney characters is just unfair. Give them a sporting chance!

Send Luke. [Wink]

Dan, we also got to enjoy a Star Wars weekend while we were at Disney. My seven-year-old daughter is beautiful and innocent. She bowed to Vader.

Let me repeat that: Operaetta bowed to Darth Vader

I tell myself that it's because she wanted to get on his good side, but I've seen a certain glint in her eye lately. Of course, Boy Opera was wearing his Vader t-shirt so he had no need to bow - obviously Vader knew which side he was on.

But didn't you love the way Vader appeared in the parade? He didn't walk - he stalked. Perfect.
