...which is from IKEA. (Oh, sweet freaking heck, I love IKEA.) (My husband says we don't have a small hammer, just the big honkin' one. Had I known, I would have borrowed a little one from my mom.)

Anyway, it's so worth it. I love our new wardrobe! (Jeff is taking his turn with the tacks now.)

The saga of what it took to get this wardrobe is long and most complicated.

But again, it was so worth it. I will love putting my clothes in it SO MUCH! *takes a page from Ketchup Princess' book and ecstatically blows kisses to the wardrobe*

Priorities.

I beg to differ [Roll Eyes]

Well, we're building it on the bed and there are boxes all over the floor, so we'll actually have to get the wardrobe done enough to stand it up before we're able to, um, prioritize. [Wink] [Big Grin]

With what do you differ, Spiff? [Razz]

It looks like we're actually going to get it done tonight! [Party] (That's a big deal because we hardly get anything done when Emma is awake. She's asleep in my mom's upstairs bedroom right now.)

Nice wardrobe. [Smile] When you're done putting together your new furniture, wanna come over and help with mine? Buncha cabinets getting delivered today . . .

Sure, rivka, I'd love to! Shoot me an e-mail...

Tacks? Not nails? I'm not a huge fan of assembling furniture, so I try to avoid it as much as possible.

I wonder if you can you pay extra to have baby furniture delieverd already assembled?

Mrs. M, tacks are little tiny nails. [Smile]

And ususlly you can either pay to have it assembled when it's delivered, or hire a local contractor to assemble it for you (depending on who you're buying it from.)

kq, this is a lesson in why women need to keep their own tools. [Smile] I have my own set because I can never find my husband's tools. So I have my own hammer, cordless drill and various other things. The hammer is my size, so it's not too heavy and works perfectly for most things I need tools for. I think a hammer is a lovely housewarming gift for a young wife. [Smile]

You call THAT begging? On your knees! I require LOTS more grovelling than that.

Either do it properly, or don't beg at all.

<Wistfully>

If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning. I'd hammer in the evening. All over the land...

I hate to do it, but have you seen the Ladies Tool Kit ?

Really? Because my new apartment has a wall full of boxes (all delivered today) . . . pretty much all stuff that needs to be assembled. I would LOVE some help!

[Kiss]

And Tante, I've used that kit. Many times! [Big Grin]

KQ didn't say she used a hammer. I assumed at first that her arm was sore because she used a balled up fist or something. After reading later posts, I know that she did use a hammer. [Wink]

So now it's too late to use the joke "Your arm is sore? Why didn't you use a hammer?" [Big Grin]
