I'm assuming this is the correct saying but ya, there are some forums that have this 1 ot 2 people who just annoy always taking every oppurtunity to attack whatever it is they hate and using biased new sources at that to back themselves up. These people annoy me, good thing they're aren't any like that on hatrack.

How do you sharpen an axe? I have one that I've used for some yard work, and I want to keep it in good shape.

Dang lumberjacks! Hypocritical, cooked-food eating lumberjacks! Ignorant lazy American lumberjacks! With their axes and their grindstones, and their crummy lumberjack hypocritical, biggoted attitude!

Ugh! Don't get me started!

I'm running out of exclamation points!

So, ya wanna piece of me?

Posted by El JT de Spang (Member # 7742) on :

The "grind" part of the expression should give you a fairly good hint.

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

Ooo...ClaudiaTherese, can I have a piece of you?

Please?

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay
I sleep all night and I work all day

whoops, wrong thread [Big Grin]

Whiney, whiney, whiney!

As long as you're offering ClaudiaTherese, I'll take a piece of you as well. That's very generous of you.

There's this one guy on this board I go to that has this thing for Communist China, and he's always posting about it...wait, maybe I shouldn't go there. [Smile]

Where do I get a piece of CT?

Posted by advice for robots (Member # 2544) on :

A piece of CT will cost you an arm and a leg.

[Smile]

Put up yer dukes. And yer duchesses. Let's have us a ball.

Hm, well there's a person on a board I know who raves about old communist Russia and how it will eventually be back.

No. It will cost her an arm and a leg.

An arm and a leg and a bushel and a peck. A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.

[Wave] <-- CT missing an arm and two legs.

Not if I'm hiring them to chop down trees.

(which, btw, is hard to do if you have only one arm and no body -- just to show that I can bring a topic back on track and re-derail it at the same time)

How did she lose her limbs? It was an Ax-ident.

I'm afraid I'll have to sever our relationship after that one. Besides, it was only a flesh wound. Merely an axey-dent.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

And with that, I'll split - maybe I'll go to the maul. I'd hate to see a wedge come between you two. You'd both be board.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

I don't like the timber of your cutting comments!

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

Dag, are you going to go chopping? Because, if so, make sure everyone gets their cut.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

And don't forget to swing on by work and log out.

Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :

Reading this thread has put me in a rather chipper mood.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

Wood that I saw that coming.

Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :

Bob's a real cut up.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

You're barking up the wrong tree.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

You think this is making you poplar, Bob?

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

Oh, that old chestnut. Leaf me alone.

Posted by imogen (Member # 5485) on :

I fir he does.

Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :

I guess I need to branch out.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

I was going to try to contribute a poem to top this all off, but the rhymes were forest.

Posted by Megan (Member # 5290) on :

Bob, you always elm to please. Maple that's what we like about you.

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

That pun was just barely Oak-ay. I'm pining for a better one.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

It's just that I like to keep a cherry disposition.

Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :

People will get syc-a-more of this if we keep it up.

Posted by Bob_Scopatz (Member # 1227) on :

Tante, you're flooring me!

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

Great. The saps have taken over another thread.

Don't worry, our bark is worse than our bite.

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

I don't find that your folly ages well.

Posted by Dagonee (Member # 5818) on :

Don't get teaked off, Ic. I think the puns spruce up the place. But I'll bough out now.

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

Frankly, I think it's all very seedy.

Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :

I'm stuck in the weeds, all the funny has been sapped out of me.

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

*nod* I bet you feel about as low as dirt right now.

Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :

Rather like a beeched whale, stuck in the mud, hoping for a new idea to bud.

? You go to AboveTopsecret.com as well? The guy "The Middle Kingdom" always enters an arguement to defend China, though not embarrasingly so, he uses good points.

Sid, don't fly off the handle, but Dag was posting about you. You do tend to natter on about Mao and Red China sometimes.

Posted by Sid Meier (Member # 6965) on :

Are you insinuating that I'm crazy?

Posted by Goody Scrivener (Member # 6742) on :

You may be right, I may be crazy
But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for
