Doesn't this say you filled your tires with whatever killed the cat? Like in Air or something? Shouldn't it be that your tires killed the cat for the joke to be correct? Or that your tires or car are "curiosity"? Basically, what's curiosity in the statement?

No it doesn't, although this piece of urban lore is often repeated. Ratón does not mean "rat"; it is a false cognate. Ratón means "mouse"; rata means "rat".

Rats make very friendly, intelligent, cuddly pets. If you can get over the tails. I didn't think I would be able to, but I fell in love with my family's first pet rat.
