I cried at first when I read how they found them. Then I cried harder and happier when I read that the parents had been found. Posted by Tammy (Member # 4119) on :

Sounds like something out of one of OSC's stories. That's quite a responsibility for a little 6-year-old!
I am so glad the kids are reunited with their parents!

Uhuh, yea, which of OSC's books have anything to do with a 6 year old dealing with a huge amount of responsibility? Posted by JaimeBenlevy (Member # 6222) on :

I find it disturbing that the automatic response of rescuers was that the children had either been abandoned or orphaned. Why do people tend to assume the worst?

Well, in that situation, it's hard to think otherwise. Remember that they've been seeing orphan after orphan come in. Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

I'm trying to imagine my six year old sister doing that. Kids are amazing, aren't they?
