I'm trying to find a good pattern for knitting a purse or handbag. I've looked around quite a bit I haven't really been able to find anything decent so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I accidentally ended up turning a hat I was making into a purse. I tried it on and it was too big. I just finished making it into a hat shpae, but kept it shallower, and then I threaded a drawstring through the top. If you are not me, and can actually do something more than knit, purl, knit, purl, you could try continuing on and knitting the straps, but that's beyond my abilities.

I would look at the modern knitting magazins I see in the grocery stores.

Or, as PL said, just make up a pattern on a round hat needle. Pull a piece of rawhide or ribbon through the open stitches, and voila!

I have a book of chenille crochet purses from a store that I love. Can't find it right now.
