As we know, the city i live in was told to evacuate because a cat 5 hurricane was coming, so my business shut down Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
They told us all we would get emergency pay for the days we were shut down.
I got back in town Sunday night, as tired and as exhausted as a man could be, I technically was not supposed to return to my area until monday.
So I return to find out
#1 - My work required me to be there Monday, even though the state told me not to come from Dallas to Houston until Monday.
#2 - It's better for the shareholders and the company if they don't pay us like they promised too. Even though they shut down the stores for 4 days. so it's like "Sorry we told y'all we were going to pay you during the shut down, but we changed our minds. we will not be paying y'all for those 4 days. Thanks and work hard on monday, when all the schools are closed and most businesses are still closed. The company can make a lot of money on this day."
It's a total of like 4 stores in all.
Wow.
The corporate crappiness knows no bounds.

That sucks Thor. I could understand their not paying people for those days if they hadn't already committed to doing so, but as it is that's unplesant of them. Is it a question of local management having made promises that upper management was unwilling to keep or something?
