That is very cool. How old is she?

Posted by Icarus (Member # 3162) on :

Seven.

And developmentally delayed, and we were not sure this would ever happen. Now we just have to wait for it to happen with her sister.

FG, that's our aquarium. [Embarrassed] It's in the hall by where we do homework. I don't even notice it, until I played the clip back myself, and thought, who's peeing in the background?! [Big Grin]

That is awesome!

I really need to spend more time appreciating my daughters newfound talent of reading. I should be recording it too.

Congratulations Mango!

Icky, I love you. You are an excellent dad. I hope that my husband and I are as good at parenting as you and Cor are with Mango and her sister.

As far as developmental delay goes, I don't think she's really that far off with her reading. My son is seven and he just began reading this year. He's having trouble with handwriting (it's so so bad, I can't explain it, it's just really bad), but it seems that once the letters formed into words in his head, his reading took off.

Here's hoping that Mango's reading awakens a world inside of her hungry for words!

Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I feel very blessed to know your family.

I'm amazed at her concentration skills, what with that racehorse peeing in the background.
