I sort of feel sorry for the kid. While Kal-el is a fine name for a Kryptonian, it's not really a good name for a kid in our society.

Bet he goes by Cal when he grows up.

The way I look at it, he COULD have wound up being called "Francis." So he got lucky.

Ah, but as Francis, he could've gone by Frank. And, at least Francis has the virtue of being a historically well-known name and not a made-up alien name from a comic book.

That's about all it has going for it. But the same is true of Ernest, Irving, and Frederick. All of these are worse than Kal-El.

I rather like Frederick (or Fredrick).
Ernest and Irving...well, I can't argue with you there.

Heh, heh. I actually kind of get off on both Kal-El and Nymeria.
I wonder when the first Ender/Bean baby is going to make an appearance. I mean, with all these babies being popped out on the forum, surely someone is going to make that bold first step.

Kal El Coppola Cage wins hands down...you guys are forgetting, the kids first and last name are from comicbook characters.
quote: Nicolas Cage is not his real name. He was born Nicolas Coppola (yes, the same famous Coppola family) but changed his name based on the comic-book character Luke Cage.
