On October 7th of 2004 I left a job that had made me happy for 11+ years to find something that would keep me happy for the next few decades.
The intervening year has been less than specacular. One company that offered me a job rescinded the job and the office I was in within two months. Another small company broke up after about four months.
Between those two I have searched for new employment.
Now it looks like I have it, working for a small printing company near my house. My hour and 20 minute commute just shrank to 15 minutes and almost no traffic.
Its not perfect, but starting Thursday I will one again be a productive and employed member of society...well, as much as I can for being me.

Congrats Dan!
I guess I didn't realize the last job venture didn't pan out for long-term, and that you had been looking.
This sounds great -- more time with family!

What kind of printing? Screen? I just started getting into screen printing. My brother in law just got a studio. I think i'm going to be dumping the computer jobs for a while.
