So I've finally gotten around to installing linux, but I've run into one big problem. The install itself was easy enough, but I've had a really hard time finding a driver for the network device I'm using. Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction to find this driver. I've spent a fair amount of time googleing the problem, but have had no success.
Device is: Compaq iPAQ 10Mbps Phoneline USB adaptor compatible with homePNA 1.1 or 2.0 Vendor ID 65242

Even if it were possible, you'd have to be pretty comfortable with the command line to get it working. If you are, I'd just pick up a homePNA PCI card (one of the ones listed on that page); they should be pretty reasonable.

Unfortunately, I don't have any free PCI slots. Looks like linux is out for me unless I can find an unofficial driver that someone cooked up online.

Not likely at all; HomePNA is an area of little interest for most hobbyists, and the control protocols are fairly IP encumbered if I'm reading between the lines correctly.
