A group of friends and I are putting together a clothing drive for needy families. The clothes we collect will be cleaned and repaired if necessary. Then we'll take it down to the two missions (men and women's homeless shelters) and serve dinner while passing out clothes. I've invaded the local freecycle list and gotten some great stuff, but want to approach my neighborhood too. I thought it would be fun to do our collecting on Halloween. Collecting clothes instead of candy has a lot of appeal, plus it will be fun to do in costume with our kids.

So...I want to put together a flyer to take door to door so that if people want to give us clothes, they can have them ready when we come pick up, but can't think of a fun way to say it.

I was thinking something like "We don't want to scare the socks off you...but ...". I really wanted something that went "Trick or ______" but I couldn't think of any clothing items that rhyme with treat.

Suggestions? I want to do the flyer up later today and pass them out tonight. Thanks!!

Strip or treat would work well if you could get your kid to go as "Naching Frash" a naked frog, of course they'd have to be dressed, but oh well my family is weird.

Trick or strip works out fine. And it leads delightfully into turning tricks jokes, which could lead to Trick or Teat jokes.

Clearly it's a good thing that I'm not part of this group.

I'll go now.

I got a girlfriend to dress up as a stripper clown one Halloween. She had big shoes, trench coat, red nose, clown makeup, etc. She even wore the rainbow wig in both places.

Don't give up the ghost; give up your clothes!

This Halloween, help somebody else dress up!

These are perfect, thank you everyone. I think the flyer turned out okay, largely due to your help! Hopefully we'll collect some really good stuff from the neighborhood that will help people in real need.

Just be careful they don't expect YOU to strip for the clothes you are picking up.

Also, wear sunglasses..you might need to protect your eyes from the glare if someone answers the door after mistaking your intent.....
