EDIT: 27 seconds and 34.6
It's possible that they're going slower on my computer than they're supposed to. They do appear to be quite jerky.
Also, do they get faster?

I must just be quick because I can get that pretty consistently. I Can't get any quicker.
It's my high score I'm strating to question. I got that last night at about 1:30 when a friend forwarded me the link. It was the 3 or 4th try. Since then I choke pretty consitently at about 21 seconds. So maybe I was seeing things last night when I scored the 33.23, but my girlfriend saw it too so maybe I just need to play when I'm really tired to be good.

On a slick computer with no lag, I was averaging around 22. I moved to a computer with quite a bit of lag--running update and antivirus at the same time.
On the bad computer, the red block had no lag, so I could run circles around the blue blocks. I lasted 38.28 seconds.
On a fast machine tho....dang...22 is hard to break!

I think there is a pattern. You can hover in the upper right corner from about the 3rd second to the 14th second without any blocks hitting you!

the computer you are on definitely makes a difference. My Computer at school is new and nice and runs on a very efficient network that cleans and sanitizes and blah, blah, blah every night. My Computer at home sucks.

ya know, this is really making me proud of my computer. If ya'lls are so slow you can get over 35 seconds, it must be really slow. lol. I have a hard enough time getting over 20 and I've got the game figured out pretty well. Then again, maybe I should be feeling pretty ashamed of my reflexs ..
