I am now considered cancer free and have been since my CT scan a while ago after my second surgery. I am still undergoing treatment and am considered "cured" or in "remission." NED simply means what is says, that there is no evidence of any more disease. There could very well still be individual cancer cells, but hopefully they will be eradicated by the time my radiation and oral chemotherapy is completed.

I haven't posted in a fairly long time so I'm just letting everyone know I'm not dead which I haven't recently learned on two occassions is all too likely of a possibility. First, on a trip to Orlando to escape our powerless house after Hurricane Wilma my mom recognized someone who had stayed at the Ronald McDonald house while she was there staying with me in New York. She asked how there child was doing and we learned he had died when his kidneys failed. Then when a friend was over visiting my mom asked how another friend's mother was doing who suffered from a rare cancer easily confused with breast cancer and happened to be seeing the same doctor as myself. Again we learned that she had passed away. So while I'm doing well, I'm also frequently reminded that that's always the case.

[Party] Ya might think this weird but
every time mr_porteiro_head was addressed as mph,
I was reminded of nfl, and hoped you were doing well.

It feels like a Christmas present to know that you are.

Great news!

I am reading more and more about cancer patients who are cured, but the docs(in general) are not great at about talking about the side effects of various treatments. Make sure they still keep in touch with you, OK?
