All the way in Missouri? That's pretty far from New Jersey. Maybe you could mail them.

Posted by genius00345 (Member # 8206) on :

That would be high shipping costs for me. Maybe you should check with your local theater instead. We'll get rid of ours somehow.

Weapons of Mass Destruction at a local movie theater in Missouri? I'm alerting the authorities!

That switching mothers show.

What sort of bad music?

South Park

Rather ribauld off coloured humour.

American Idol

That dance show just because it had sexy people in it.

Posted by pH (Member # 1350) on :

What kind of bad music?

Jellyhead - "Crush"
5ive
Chingy
Ginuwine
Nickelback

Oh, the list goes on.

I like Ginuwine. He has some good songs. Pony amuses me...
He's not on my list of stuff I really hate

Posted by pH (Member # 1350) on :

"Hell Yeah" is the latest of my amusements by him.

And "Pony" makes me giggle. And it sounds like frogs.

Fudge. Mmm... fudge.

"Dancing with the Stars"

Harry Potter... in ancient Greek.

Harold and Kumar

Sitting in bookstores and reading for hours instead of working on projects or studying.

Two cheeseburgers from McDonald's

Orange soda - and one grape soda once a year.

Old-ish (no less than five years, rarely more than twenty) pop music that's remarkably fun, if not good at all.

Football. Any way I can get it.

Atomic Fireballs. [/QB]

There's an American version? I love Iron Chef, not that I get it here. I haven't watched it since Canada, and I loved the funny dubbing that just didn't match right at all. [Big Grin]

I'd never heard of atomic fireballs before, so I Googled it, and now I want to try some. [/jealous]

My guilty pleasures?

My mother-in-law's wattalapam, reading as much as I want, and watching way way way too many movies with Fahim. [Big Grin]

David Eddings
Mercedes Lackey (I feel much guiltier about her than about him)
YA books even though I'm no longer YA and should be reading deep books with meaning
The Nanny
VH1
The Golden Girls
Harry Potter fanfic
TV shows on DVD

I should feel guilty about football?

I love running "24" marathons on DVD...

edited for spelling

See, I think Mercedes Lackey is one of the worst published authors I've ever read. And yet I keep rereading her books....

It doesn't make any sense.

Posted by Synesthesia (Member # 4774) on :

I like her.
Better here than Erica Jong because she annoyed me with this one book... Then there is that book She's Come Undone... Too stereotypical

I lik edoing things I KNOW will annoy me. Like watching really crappy television shows that piss me off and make me angry.
I also like having at really stupid things no one else thinks is funny.

Harry Potter in Latn, except I am unrepentant, so I don't know if it counts as a guilty pleasure. [Smile]
Due South on DVD
Asterix comics
Taking courses just for the fun of them
Grad school, oh man, grad school. An utterly impractical field (Medieval Studies with a specialty in Editing Medieval Texts, hopefully!) when I already have debt from my undergrad, studying it for the sheer fun of it.

I love cinnamon candies and gum of all varieties, but especially Hot Tamales. I even bought cinnamon flavored toothpaste. But in the past several years, I've started becoming very sensitive to cinnamon and can only eat 4 or 5 Hot Tamales at a time, or my mouth will swell up and ache for days. [Cry] I used to eat 2 or 3 boxes at a time. I can't use the toothpaste any more either. So forget Atomic Fireballs for me. [Frown]

I stupidly posted this in the wrong thread. So, I'll put it where it goes (and a little amended).

Grossing out one of my students by putting my sock fuzz on his desk. Eww, I take great pleasure in it because he's such a pain in the butt! But it's really gross!

Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :

Yeah, aretee, I was wondering about that.
