I found myself thinking of really egregious examples of people speaking of (usually their own) flaws and foibles as if they were virtues.

The misanthropic jerk who proudly states "I guess I'm just not the kind to 'go-along to get-along'."

The clown in the play 'Le Bete' who insults his host's cooking and then praises himself for being too honest to compromise.

Thoughts, examples?

An ex just told me as part of his Come See Me When You Get Into Town speech, "You might think that the hurricane would calm me down a bit, but I'm more ridiculous than ever!"

...genius.

Like, she was working in human resources and she took a position in accounting so they fired her from human resources, or they fired her from both position altogether?

The thing is, my biggest faults are also my greatest strenghts.

*nods* My stubbornness can work against me. (And often does.) But sometimes, that stubbornness is what has enabled me to survive, to do the right thing despite pressure, or to right a wrong on another's behalf.

Aren't you supposed to do this exercise during an interview? I've been trying to think of ways into turning "forgetful" and "too stubborn to pay attention to things like logic and reason" into positives

Spin "forgetful" as "focused on the overal picture".

Spin "too stubborn to pay attention to things like logic and reason" as "consisistently thinking outside the box".

"unwilling to let things stop me from accomplishing my goals"

No, I actually forget about work [Wink] Now all I have to do is convince my wife they are strengths...
