Do fruits such as apples, pears, oranges, bananas, etc. have any natural sugars in them besides fructose?

Yes, glucose and sucrose among others. I'll edit this when I find a link.

Edit: Found one. I'll keep looking, though.

Edit 2: Never mind. My brain is too fried to keep looking. That table is a good one though.

Fascinating! What was even more interesting was to look at the fruits with the highest content of sucrose--all my favorite fruits. The sugar addict in me rears its ugly head!

I was under the impression that fruit only contained fructose.

Fructose is the major fruit sugar (stored as fructan), but by no means the only one. Heck, cellulose is beta-1-4-Glucose.

Anyway, discussing percentages of monosaccharides is kinda silly, since they're never almost found that way in the organism (that high energy aldol/keton group is going to react with something).
