Inspot

This may be cruel, but I laughed till it hurt.

Think of the hideous hideous prank possibilities.

The last three were almost considerate. The first one is terrible. Terrible. [Monkeys]

My personal favorite is the "Who? What? When? Where?" one. It has the most out-of-left-field delivery.

Ha. I'd do that. Send it to everyone in my Address Book.

"Remember that party where we both got really drunk?"

You know, they're right: the best things in life really ARE free!

As someone who has spent a very unpleasant six months waiting for the HIV window period to be over so I could take a second test and be sure I was HIV negative after finidng out that someone I was supposed to be in a sexually exclusive relationship with had cheated on me with an IV drug user. . .

If any of you were seriously thinking about sending these out as a joke, don't.

I fail to see how this is funny

It is not funny.

I don't see what was funny either.

I don't think it's supposed to be funny. At least, the site isn't a joke site. Looks like it's an STD awareness site targeting gay men in San Francisco. Kind of a nice service, actually, and the humor in the cards might well soften the blow of an unpleasant message.

I find it funny because of the incredibly blunt delivery. In all honesty, I thought it was a joke site at first, and was surprised to learn it is genuine.

Apparantly it's also very popular. According to Time magazine, in it's first two weeks 21,000 people sent 38,000 cards. Now, THAT, I don't find very funny. But the cards themselves? Oh, yeah.
