Wow. I don't play World of Warcraft, but this is kinda cool.

That is kind of neat, unfortunately it only has the "mini-map" version of the map. it would be nice if as it zoomed in you saw the actual environment. Obviously not real time with mobs and players, but would be nice to see the individual buildings/trees/rocks and such.

Still with the hilarious.

If the resources and labels weren't disabled, this would be extremely useful for me. I'm a WoW semi-newb.

Too bad.

Still, pretty neat.

Xavier, download a mod called CT-Raid. Whenever you mine or take any resources, it labels the position on the ingame map.

I was all against using any 3rd party mods to my game, but eventually talked into this one. It is WELL worth it. And if you ever start running the end game instances, most guilds require it.

That's pretty cool, but there are much better map resources for WoW. Try www.thottbot.com. Or if you're really into needing some map help, get an addon like TrapperKeeper suggests. Cosmos is also pretty useful, and it's free.

That is fun! But yes, not terribly helpful for finding stuff in-game. Thottbot has pretty good maps. Allakhazam has good information also. And there are lots of fun addons. I can't remember the name of the map mod I use - but it can fill in areas you've not discovered yet, which is quite handy. I've used Cosmos in the past (it's good). I don't like Gatherer (I believe that's the one TrapperKeeper refered to that is bundled in CT-Raid) - after a few times of gathering your whole map gets cluttered. I like Atlas for instance maps (and it can play nicely with Titan Bar, which I like). I've pruned down a lot of my mods and have a guildie who has written a couple and is refining them for me. [Smile] Yes, I, ludosti, and a huge WoW addict.

Now that this is a full time WoW thread...

I've made a habit of using the base CT_Mod (including CT_Raid). You can actually turn off the ore veins / herb locations on the map, and locations carry over from character to character. I've gotten most the nodes marked by now I suppose (I'll get them marked on the map even if it isn't that character's profession or not high enough skill).

Cosmos was nice, but a bit too cumbersome for my liking. Then again, that was so very long ago...
