Here's the gist of it:

I come up with a totall non-sequiter, and all of you invent however many contexts you can to go before my line. The idea is that your setup with make my otherwise useless sentence funny, and we'll all laugh heartilly. Add my sentence to the end of your setup, and hilarity will ensue.

"But we just couldn't stop Father McMulligan from throwing the bacon off the cliff. James said it never would have happened, if only the whole town had listened to the pigs!"

edit: Invent your own non-sequiters at will, and we'll go at those too.
