So I can be the dead-beat and end the game now, why not just open it up here.
Afterall, there are a few I'm curious to as well. (Quidscribis, Fahim, prolixshore, MyrddinFyre, etc.)
To start things off, mine is Vadon as though you were to switch the r with a V in the lovely element radon.

Posted by Kwea (Member # 2199) on :
Since it is a made u word, at least in English, it probably can be pronounced either way.
I should email Dave Wolverton and ask him. Posted by Tante Shvester (Member # 8202) on :
Uh, Kwea, I hate to break it to you, but "Kwea" is pronounced "KWEE-uh", not "K-way".
I'm surprised that you didn't know that.

I always pronounced it "Kway-uh" in my head. I also pronounce Noemon as "Know-min". It's sort of close to the way he tells us to pronounce, except it's not.
Posted by Noemon (Member # 1115) on :
I'm fine with any pronunciation that people want to use, but in my head it's "No AY mon", with the "ay" being pronounced as it is in the word "hay". Sometimes I think of it as NO uh mon" though.

Raia, you really confused me. With your first post I thought I understood, but then your explanation to breyerchic completely reversed it. I pronounce it Rye-uh with Rye rhyming with Lie. Is this how you do it?
Also, this thread made me realize 2 things. First, I'm really bad at pronouncing names right, since I got most of these wrong. Second, alot of times I don't actually pronounce names in my head if it's too long. Like Lyrhawn, if you asked me how to pronounce it, I'd probably say Liar-hawn, but that would only come after some thought. I had to read out his name before knowing how I'd pronounce it, even though I've seen his name many times. Weird. I guess I just look at letters and don't read the word to myself alot.
Posted by Lyrhawn (Member # 7039) on :
Liarhawn?
It's only seven letters long! Now I'm going to start saying that in my head whenever I read my own name.
