The Pentagon announced TODAY the formation of a new 500-man elite fighting unit called the United States Redneck Special Forces (USRSF).

These Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, West Virginia, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas boys will be dropped off into Iraq and have been given only the following facts about terrorists:

1. The season opened today.

2. There is no limit.

3. They taste just like chicken.

4. They don't like pickups, country music or Jesus.

5. They are directly responsible for the death of Dale Earnhardt.

The Pentagon expects the problem in Iraq to be over by Friday

Making fun of southerners is funny! And okay!

You forgot to mention that the army is requisitioning them beer and chewing tobacco. [Roll Eyes]

Hey, Jay is from a Southern state (West Virginia?), so is Southerner-on-Southerner hate crime? [Wink]

Plus us Northerners have similar stereotypes (ask someone from Maine, Massachusetts or Vermont about New Hampshire!).

The great thing about this joke is that it is insulting to multiple groups at once. That's something special.

What are midwestern stereotypes? I rarely ever hear any good Michigan native jokes.

I have, but they are really similar to Maine native jokes.

I heard a good one about an infinite number of rednecks firing an infinite number of shotgun rounds into an infinite number of highway signs eventually producing the works of Shakespeare...in braille.

I have some friends who would find this funny, Belle, and they fit the stereotype.

In fact, I'm going to go share it with them. [Smile]
