This is topic Jen's Addiction (or, why I have reconsidered my plan to never have children ever) in forum Books, Films, Food and Culture at Hatrack River Forum.
Do any of you lovely people at Hatrack know about Heather Armstrong and her cute baby Leta (Dooce)? It is my latest discovery--my job at present mostly consists of sitting behind a book desk and answering the very occasional phone calls, so I have lots of time to kill with the Internet. Searching for something as excellent as this, this, or this, I came across a list of good blogs, and one of them was Heather Armstrong's blog. It's funny and touching and entertaining (not always all three at once), and it makes me think that I might not be the crappy mother I've always sort of assumed I would be. Also it is funny.
If you don't like poop jokes, Mormon jokes, or profanity, don't head over there. Not everyone appreciates poop jokes like my family does.
Warning: You may become hooked on this website like it is CRACK COCAINE.

I've read Dooce on and off for quite awhile. She's one of my favorite bloggers, I read about a half-dozen.

Darling darling Farmgirl! I am so relieved that somebody is as happy about this discovery as I am. My workdays are very boring also; this is why I love this woman and her blog and her baby.

I spent the last week reading her archives. The gradual change was very interesting, particularly the pregnancy-baby-child journey, since I have that a lot on my mind lately. *joins the club*
