I'm trying to avoid possible copyright or content ownership issues. My question specifically relates to press releases. Can a press release on one webpage be redistributed, in whole, onto another webpage?

Thanks for your help, Hatrack. [Smile]

I would think a press release, by design, is intended for wide distribution unless otherwise indicated. If you're uncertain, write the website and ask.

Technically, it's copyrighted, so you need permission to copy it (including by posting it on your web page).

Many press releases contain such permission within them. If you intend to post the whole thing, getting permission should be easy.

Ok, the release didn't provide permission to distribute. I was suspicious of the copyright notice at the bottom of the page; even though it wasn't embedded in the press release text. Getting permission for usage should be easy, in this case. [Smile] E-mails away.

Thanks guys!
