For my wife's birthday.

I am throwing her a big party, since its her 40th.

The date is 10/1, but the party is on 10/7.

But I am also throwing her a card party. Her family and many of her friends are all over the world now, and can't help her celebrate. I am inviting all of them to send her a card, or an e-card to be opened on her birthday.

If you want to send her a card, email me at Dan_raven@yahoo.com. I will e-mail you back the address to send it too. Include your Hatrack name. I feel odd putting someone elses address on the internet, since a friend will be the designated holder of cards until her birthday.

(I had my Brother do this about 5 years ago, and my Sister-in-law almost went postal trying to figure out what was in all the packages people sent us. This time its a more reliable freind's house)

If you want to send her an e-card, send it to Cindydavis40@yahoo.com. Cindyis40 is a Yahoo Club for this event.

Please remember 2 things. 1) Put your Hatrack name or where you know me from on the card. 2) My mother and 6 year old son will be present when they are open. Keep it clean (or warn us which ones are not).

The openings will be 10/7, but I have plans for the next day so I may not be able to thank everyone for their creative cards until later that week.

Thanks for those of you, even the lurkers, who participate. The farther away the cards come from, the better she will love it.

Are we to send the e-cards to be delivered on the birthday or the party day? Or does it matter?

Party date. She won't see them before then.

Correct. But if they have less than a 1 month "read by" requirment, then it may be unreadable by 10/7.

I think most are at a month, so it should be fine though.

I made a mistake on the e-mail address. Its Cindys40@yahoogroups.com , not at Yahoo.com. I edited it above.

If you are sending a card--its almost too late.
If you are sending an e-card, now is the time.
