I am conducting an experiment in website creation.

I have made a website that is kind of like a forum.

People can post threads (called Questions) and people can post responses to a given thread (called Answers).

It is different than a forum in a few ways:
There is no signup process. Everyone is automatically a user and has full access to the site. Because of this there is no collecting your email address and emailing you your password. There is no password to remember.
You don't have to worry about getting spam from ListOfFavorites.com because they don't have your email address!
People can vote Answers up or down, so the Answers with the most up votes (as a percentage) will appear at the top.
Questions can have up to 5 categories, so a question like "Where's the best Mexican Food in Salt Lake City" might fit in the categories "Salt Lake City" and "Food" and "Mexican Food".
People can add comments to Answers.

The site is in beta testing and I am looking for feedback.
What do you think of the idea?
What do you like about the site?
What do you hate about the site
What could be improved?
I am looking for any and all criticism here, though I would prefer if it was constructive. [Smile]

This site is an experiment that I have been working on in my spare time. The idea might take off or it might crash and burn in a million billion pieces. Sometimes you just never know.

Thanks!

One issue I see is that without being able to track things, you can just keep clicking to move the same answer up on the list.

It's like Wikipedia but even crazier and without registration!

You're going to get spammed into oblivion once the bots find you. Might wanna get on anti-spam measures asap.

An answer can have up to 5 votes per ip address per day.

I have captchas setup.

I track ips for questions, answers, and comments.

Any other suggestions to combat/avoid spam?

But I was still able to get an answer from last (5th place) to 2nd single handedly.

How many total votes have there been? While there are but a few voters and votes, each vote will have much more weight. This will change as the number of votes increases.

Shall I change to only allow 1 or 2 votes per ip per day?

Two small comments. First of all, there needs to be a way to move through the list of answers by more than one page at a time. Once you start to get past 50 or so answers, it is really tedious to get to the end.

Also, it would be nice if the link back to the main page was more obvious.
