Has anyone else heard of this musical? I just got the CD, and I *love* it. It's so different from your standard musical. It traces the five-year relationship of Jamie and Cathy, but from the beginning you follow Cathy's story from the end of the relationship backwards, and simultaneously you see Jamie's story starting when they first met. They meet in the middle when they get married, then by the end of the play it has switched.

I'm starting to love this Jason Robert Brown guy.

Sounds vaguely interesting.

I've heard of that one, but I'm not familiar with it. I've been meaning to get hold of it for a while, but it just hasn't happened yet.

I have the songbook for Brown's Songs for a New World, though, and they're really just gorgeous pieces. I've also listened to Parade once or twice, and it's also really good. Brown's on my list of people to keep an eye out for - from what I've heard of his music, he's very, very talented.

It's brilliant. I had I Can Do Better Than That on repeat as soon as I discovered it. I knew all the words within ten minutes.

Songs for a New World is great too.

And I'm seeing the Sunday in the Park with George reprise in two days! It's not Brown, but it's my favorite musical. It's just so deliciously smart.

Excitement.
