One of the very few bright spots of watching Premonition Friday night was getting to see Nathan quip it up in the Waitress trailer.
Curious, I did a search for info on that film. While the synopsis was nothing that interested me (it's yet another Hollywood film in which adultery is portrayed as a wonderful, glorious, soul-expanding experience), one line in a review did stick out:
"Nathan Fillion does well in his role, considering he's best known for glorified 'B' material like Firefly."

Nice that he's getting work, though.
I guess a lot of people, like this reviewer, didn't like Firefly. I think we shall just have to pity them.

Yes. Pity them for now. But when the Brown coats ride again, they shall fear and tremble

I'd write a letter to that reviewer. B material my sweet patootie!

More importantly, Nathan's going to be the lead in the upcoming Tim Minear series, "Drive." Sure, it'll probably also be cancelled five episodes in, but still...

Do people really decide what movies to see anymore based on what "professional" movie reviewers have to say?
Half the time I agree with them in their reviews, but most of the time I think they're just being elitist. Night at the Museum was hilarious I thought. Movies don't have to be a work of art to be good or popular, they just have to be entertaining. That's why Jim Carrey still has a job
They need to get over themselves.

Hear hear Lyrhawn. I knew this newly graduated gal with a film reviewer degree. DAMN, was she full of herself. She hated anything that even hinted of SF/fantasy so of course all those movies were junk. Why? Because she has a film degree, of course!
