Sheldon, the 10-year-old software billionaire, is fed up with what happened to the Star Wars prequels. He decides to take action.
Now that would be a movie I'd love to watch.

Tell me if I'm mistaken, but isn't the joke that Joss Whedon is a Star Wars and Lucas apologist? Or am I thinking of someone else?

While I'd love for him to be involved with a Star Wars TV show, I don't want him doing a movie. I was largely unimpressed with Serenity, after having fallen in love with the Firefly show.

Except Whedon would fill Star Wars with all this like irony and wit and shit when all I want is *shhhving*, *shhhvooong* and other vaguely sounding light-saber noises.

If it is, it's the cartoonist making fun of Sheldon. While this happens with some regularity as it is, I don't think it's the case here. The past week's strips have all been about problems with Star Wars - common enough ones that even mild fans like myself picked up on.
We'll see on Monday.

Your link goes to the strip of the day. Here's the archived link for the Star Wars strip.

If there's one man out there that 'one of us' would call on to save a universe that has caused us pain and distress plot-wise, it's Joss!
