1) Find all the Pern fen I knew 15 years ago. 2) Cajole the crafty ones into doing 99% of the work (again). 3) Decide whether it's worth sending the quilt to Scott, or if I should keep it for myself instead of trading it for pears. (Although if he's gonna spend 18 hours in bed, he probably needs one.)

They caught me about 3/4ths of the way through the project; I'd been writing since around 2pm the previous day, and I guess it was around 8 or so in the morning. We had to turn in the stories by 2pm that afternoon. I hadn't gotten any sleep.
Indeed, I remained awake until about 11pm that night. That night, of course, was the night we got to meet people like Robert Sawyer, Jerry Pournelle, Larry Niven, Nina Hoffman, Sean Williams...you know, famous people. (We'd met Anne McCaffery earlier in the day) Interacting with these people on no sleep may not have been the most intelligent thing I've ever done.
However, discovering that I had the grit to write all night long, and all day long, with NO sleep-- priceless. (Don't ask about the quality of the story...)

I haven't downloaded the video, so I can't give you a time; but about halfway through is my big line.
If you're just looking for pictures of me, I'm in the middle of the writers in the opening shot of the workshop section, wearing a yellow, short-sleeved, button-up shirt; later, I'm wearing a long-sleeved, gray and black checked shirt with khaki pants.
You can often see glimpses of me hanging around the bald guy (Michael Livingston, who is both very intelligent, and a really neat guy). We were 'twins' for the workshop-- meaning we sat down next to each other. Actually, I met Michael before we met in the workshop-- we had the same flight out to Seattle. I was talking to the lady next to me about my reasons for going to Seattle, and he turned around and introduced himself...it was pretty cool.
