Well, maybe not.

Still, this is a lot more entertaining than that utter misfire of a movie.

The same website gave Semi-Pro a B+ rating. Now I'm conflicted on whether this website is trustworthy or if the movie isn't going to completely suck.

I read themoviespoiler for it and then the wikipedia entry on Mary Boleyn, which seemed to be heavily weighted toward conflicting information in the movie.

I can say if the movie butchered history worse than Becoming Jane. The thing is, Becoming Jane was good, so twisting the history around is somewhat forgivable. I think the dramatic climax (if I read it right) is somewhat edgy, and I'm not sure the tone of the marketing matches that.

I did almost suggest seeing this last week, but I'm glad I didn't. Still, I would be interested to hear from anyone who did, whether the production values and direction were of any quality. The poster suggested something slightly less campy than A Knight's Tale, a kind of "look, kids, history is sexy!" thing.

Puffy definitely nailed the funniest line, although they're all pretty good.

It's supposed to be crappy? That's so disappointing. I was really looking forward to this movie. I loved the book and the movie looked interesting enough. It has some great actors that I really love. It's too bad that it's getting bad reviews. Le sigh.

I read several reviews that said it was fine. I'm still looking forward to it.

The preview is a bit less off-putting given the material. Still, they are selling an epic when it is a drama.

Okay, then I'll definitely still see it. I mean, I was planning on seeing it regardless, but I'm a little more excited now. Plus, Eric Bana is awesome. And Australian. I love Australians.

IS Eric Bana awesome? If I go to see it, I will only be doing so in order to check out whether I feel that Eric Bana is good enough to play Henry in The Time Traveler's Wife....I'm thinking he won't be. And that they should have got Billy Crudup.

I don't know that I picture Billy Crudup as Henry...but he *is* awesome!
