Gah. I just went up ten levels in two hours, and forgot to make dinner. I'm hungry.

Nay, young spawn of the North. I play Angband, the roguelike. When the earliest ancestors of the GUI had not yet crawled from the primordial silicon, there were roguelikes; and when the last decadent pixel of the final MMORPG flickers and dies, futilely shaking its weakly defiant fist at the monuments of its once-mighty race, the roguelikes will remain, unconquerable, eternal, text-based.

What class are you playing at the moment. I used to play moria years back, and more recently I've been into TOME. At the moment, though, the only thing close to a roguelike I've been playing is Dwarf Fortress. Edit: And personally, if you want a true roguelike, I really do think that TOME is a much deeper and more interesting game than Angband, although I suppose that it's all a matter of opinion.

I was going to say...ten levels in two hours? You either started at level 1 or are a crazy good power leveler.

I'd go with started at level one. Death in roguelikes is a somewhat common thing (and a touch more permanent than most other games).

Damn all kobolds. I'd never gotten that high a level before.
Starting at level 1, right. Playing a human mage.

I imagine the temptation to savescum is getting pretty high about now.
