AKA "the even more practical libertarian thread"

Now let’s take it a step further.

What does being a libertarian or a contra-libertarian, an liberal, a socialist or whatever mean to you personal life. How does it influence your decisions?

For me it was one of the reasons to quit my job at the government employment agency. I didn’t want to be part of a system that was wasting government money. Now I am being paid for the government, but doing something that I think is worthwhile. In my job I am constantly asking myself: I am worth the tax money?

My business idea is another part of bringing social ideals together with libertarian ideas.

In raising my kids I try to let them find things out by themselves. Try to let them make their own mistakes. My son has paid for his own trip to Afrika. I am proud that my kids are happy with the small material things we can give them. (my salary now is a lot less , a benefit of this is that I can’t spoil my kids)

But I do believe in doing something for someone else. I am active as a volunteer. I became a member of a church because I want to share my beliefs with other people . And I believe people need to need other people. It’s part of being human.

That's a pretty cool personal course of action, imo.
