...I knew I was in good hands the moment I noticed the same narration that made my ears bleed while watching the original DVD release is completely absent from the new version.

I haven't seen Dark City since it was in theaters, and I don't remember a terrible narration of which you speak. Am I just forgetting it, or is this something that was on the dvd but not the theatrical release?
