Alrighty so we finally had our first meetings and I ran for and got the position of Vice President (was unopposed) and started up a campaign and waiting for players. A bunch of interesting people, the room has like dozens of source books, gigs of pdfs on the computer and dozens of boardgames some from like 30 years ago.

Unfortunately their Mahjong pieces are the thin versions [Frown]

But theres a Go board! So I am happy.

Here's the message I've posted so far.
quote:

Greetings Y'all.

I am Blayne Bradley your new Vice-President and I am interested in forming a new D&D campaign for your entertainment. I am busy Tuesdays, Saturday mornings so I can pretty much take a timeslot anywhere else, so if there is anyone at all interested no matter how new to D&D you might be reply and tell me what your availability could be.

In a twist rather then stating outright the campaign instead I'll provide a few choices that the players can decide upon for a setting.

Choice #1) Necrosis; a survival horror setting vaguely similar to Forgotten Realms, the gist is that the undead Demon god Orcus has started moving and while the other gods managed to stop him (again) they weren't able to stop him utterly only check him, so the world is being overrun by undead and the gods too weak to stop it as keeping Orcus down is taking all of their concentration and they are beginning to fail...

-Forgotten Realms Campaign setting/Players Guide to faerun can be used.

Choice #2) Dragonlance! Everyone's favorite low magic setting! I will be setting us in the Age of Mortals after the latest book chronologically I have read, more of your typical dungeon crawling campaign to start with.

Choice #3) Tagnik'Zur, a homebrew setting of my creation more more militaristic centered, you guys are essentially soldiers in an army very open ended with alot of potential.

Next Variant A and B, you guys can choose whether to start at level 1 or level 5, previous experience says some players like the choice but hopefully you guys will prefer level 1, I aim to take us all the way to level 20 at the very least over the course of the campaign.

House Rules and variants to be discussed.

-Blayne Bradley
