I'm actually pretty broken up about this. He was responsible for so many classics, and was instrumental in bringing about Fantasia 2000, which I loved. He was also the last real hope of getting another Fantasia anytime soon, which really depresses me.
I think he was the last big figure in the Disney organization who really loved what he was doing, and didn't just see everything in dollars and cents. That generation is gone now.

Huh. So this is the man directly responsible for the movies that make up a large chunk of my childhood.
