Damn, that's impressive. I'm amazed he even added the primary commands to the MS-DOS command shell. [Smile]

The first screenshot I saw of this thing, he'd opened a command window and typed "Where the hell is my start button?"

That's pretty cool. It's rather amazing how far computer interfaces have come in the mere 18 years since the release of Windows 3.1

Then again, it also demonstrates the clear superiority in GUI that the Mac OS had back in 1992 with system 7.0. Too bad it took them until 1997 to come up with the next arguably significant upgrade (System 8). Resting on laurels, much?

Nostalgia?

Sure. I can see spending up to half an hour playing around with it for nostalgia's sake.

But going to the effort of making it...

Why do people spend hours and hours editing Wikipedia articles? Why do people spend half the time they do making things on the internet that elicit an "he's clearly got too much time on his hands"?

Yup. That's exactly the question.

And why do people spend time on forums? [Smile]

It's easier than trying to stop and talk to the people on the street? I also don't have to support my verbal abuse with physical prowess. [Wink]
