Absolutely Everything! Good Gods Yawl.

Alrighty for todays Episode of Blayne in EvE Online I would like to discuss some recent developments, essentially news of the 0.0 warfare, my little victories, and the direction EVE is heading towards both technically and socially.

First off I left Shadows of the Requiem Corporation as they decided that Black Star Alliance was no good for them and decided in the most effective fashion to leave by completely raping a BLAST (Black Star Alliance ticker) fleet in a 'blue' on 'blue' action, essentially they pulled a trojan horse attack them while in the middle of a critical engagement and forced BLAST to vacate its forces in the North vs South campaign.

The North vs South campaign is a war launched by IT Alliance (essentially the new Band of Brothers having recently reclaimed its homeland in Delve, Querious, Paragon Basin and Fountain regions) to destroy the 'nap fest' of the Northern Coalition which is a massive alliance made up of nearly every alliance in the northern part of EVE.

They're slogan is "Best Friends Forever".

But back to me after leaving I tried to join a different BLAST corp but predictably they refused citing that I was a security risk.

So I jumped my carrier out of the region (captial ships can only travel via 'cynosaural fields' basically beacons placed in the lightyear range away and are too large to use the jump gates).

I joined up with another corp after about a day of searching around USNY or United Systems Navy which was a part of Zenith Infinity a member of the aforementioned Northern Coalition.

They as it turns out soon left ZAF (Zenith Infinity) to join Wildly Inappropriate (WI) also a member of the Northern Coalition as they didn't wanna leave the NC as ZAF was leaving for the Curse region at the other side of EVE.

So I moved my stuff up, and after a little advice I started making LOADS of isk and I mean LOADS I made a billions isk in under a week!?

That is more isk I have made in 4 days then in a whole year of playing 0.0 is definitely the only place to make isk in EVE doing NPC complexes and anomalies (basically hidden npc spawn points that you have to find with the games probe scanning minigame) and now I can start pvping in full.

One thing that I've definately noticed about serious major pvp alliances is that they are not afraid to demand not only a kill quota on its members but require that they pay a straihgt up tax of X Millions per month from each charactr in the alliance, things are getting real here in the serious business category.

The war itself seems to be IT, -A- (Against All Authorities or 'The Russians'), and Atlas (the other Russians) versus the North I can't tell if its evenly matched or not we appear to be holding our own in the war.

The next expansion coming out is 'Tyrannus' which will add a Civilization IN SPACE mini game mechanic to allow players to own and manage holdings on planets to acquire resources, I have no idea how much of an isk faucet or sink it may turn out to be.

But I do know is that its interface could apparantly use work, too many complaints is that its waaaay to similar to POS management UI which is crap (or so I hear) but I hear rumors they're gonna fix that.

I am relatively excited for DUST which is the FPS add on to the EVE Online universe, basically players in that game can fight over planets in EVE Online and that actions in either game can affect the other, EVE Online players are screaming RUINED FOREVER complaining that they don't want the fate of their hard won space battles being undermined by ' Halo fanboy mouth breathers' which I find laughable but what I AM pissed off about is apparantly DUST being a Xbox exclusive and not made for the PC.

In other news I got 4-5 accounts and managing them is a fairly costly process so to expedite the process if anyone is interested to try out EVE Online for 21 days I can send you a free buddy trial account that is twice as long as the standard free trial and gets me a free month if you subscribe.

Subscribe and I will send you 100,000,000 ISK which in game terms for a character your age is ALOT (penny change late game but for you will be alot).

haha, i wish somebody had sent me 100,000,000 when i still played eve. Its a great game but i was always one step behind the next "good setup". That and i don't have a computer that runs it so well anymore.

I might get back into during the summer though, work isn't so crazy then. You are part of the norther alliance you say? If i get back online ill have to look you up. Im (was) a member of mostly harmless (assuming they are still in the northern alliance)

So funny story. After reading this i got all whimsical and decided to re-activate my account. What i had forgotten was that when my computer crashed (the original reason for my stoppage, and i just never got around to getting back on) i was in the middle of ratting. i've been gone 8 months so i am in noobcorp again in the middle of coalition space.

Ill have to see if i can work my way out of this one, perhaps my killboard account is still up and i can access the jump-bridge grid and hopefully get to low sec to re-apply. If not then its bombs-away.

My user name is Mandos Doomsayer though. I should be online after work.

I tried Eve once but was pretty lost on what to do. I know you can't really judge an MMO based on two hours of play, and I want to try it out, but WoW and League of Legends take up so much of my time right now.

I'll download it tonight though and take another look. Send me an invite for a trial.

Honestly i doubt you could fully judge EVE even on the two week trial period they give you. The skill system is very complex and the ship interface isnt intuitive (i still dont have it down pat and im on 3 years (off and on).

Hope you enjoy it though.
