I am a huge fan of Urban Fantasy, and I just found my favorite movie. It is called Ink. Trailer. I have never heard of it. I stumbled upon it.

The acting from several characters is sub-par and the budget is limited, but what they have accomplished is just stunningly beautiful.

Has anyone else seen it? Liked it? It is now free at Hulu. Or, if you don't want commercials you can watch instantly on Netflix or rent it. I watched it on Netflix. I think commercials would interrupt the flow.

It was pretty good. The trailer was even better [Wink]

I think what was so appealing about it was the, I dunno, "uniqueness" of the plot, scenes, imagery, etc. It was different, in a awesome way.

I watched it several months ago with my brother, I couldnt help making referances to Gap ads from the nineties. But I truely love that movie, you cant compare it to anything else out there.

Yeah. Some of the editing (flashing lights and changing the color template) between scenes and in the fights looked like basic Sony Vegas special effects. Some dialogue was heavy handed. Some acting was....embarrassingly amateurish.

However, what they did with a $250,000 budget is above and beyond what can be expected. It is unique and easily competes with any Hollywood movie. Too bad they never got a distributor.

The sound, music, story, pacing, and general editing was superb. Many scenes nailed it.

Seriously, despite it's flaws I can't recommend it enough for the Hatrack community.
