Crack the Code in Cyber Command’s Logo

Anyone here want to give it a go? 32 characters, probably hexadecimal.

I figure we'd normally split them up into pairs. But since 32 is 2^5, it allows for other even splits as well:

The text "9ec4c12949a4f31474f299058ce2b22a", which is located in the command's emblem, is the MD5 hash of the mission statement.
You can verify it here: http://md5decrypter.com/

Huh. Thanks. I don't get how that much text can be encrypted into something that short.

It isn't. MD5 is a non-reversible hash. They're just storing a bunch of inputs and their MD5s, then returning the inputs that match any MD5 you put in.

Unsurprisingly, there's only one input in the database for this particular MD5.

I don't know anything about the code, but their graphic designer should be fired. That eagle looks stupid.

Maybe they should change the hash to a29a4725540b5b18d3be772bf7c90787

It doesn't look stupid so much as it looks to be in need of a higher fiber diet.
