Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Warning Parents About I-Dosing

Honest to God... And this isn't The Onion.

Anyway, I have to go to work and smoke some Visual Basic.

Im curious about the idea of using sounds and physical position while listening to them to alter the brain, but would rather stand back and laugh at Oklamoma.

I'm wondering if people who have mild synesthesia are more susceptible.

Possibly? I HAVE felt high off of G-Force running Spunkshine's And Yet It Moves album and the video for Trifonic's Parks On Fire video, but I highly doubt

1. a non-synesthetic would get the same effect, and
2. it's habit forming in any way

Listening to Tim Story's "Beguiled" album does tend to give me the same feeling, more or less that I got the one time I got stoned with pot in high school. But I think that's just because it's really super mellow.

And not one person to say, "In counterpoint, this is a placebo effect, but you people may well be smoking crack that this has you wound up"? Way to go, local news media.

:deep sigh:

It's really too bad they have a constitutional right to be the biggest F****** idiots on television.

But seriously, we need some sort of consumer counsel of sanity to start fighting back against the destructive effects of stupid local news reporters.

Maybe a web program.

Perhaps it should start by advertising such iDope, and then in its first lesson give an explanation of the placebo effect.

It would have to be amusing, though, to get people to read more. Maybe like a Cracked.com article.
