I used to post at hatrack under my full name when I was 15 years old. Now when my name is googled a post I wrote on Hatrack about 5 years ago comes up. I deleted that post about a month ago, but it still shows up as a cached website. Is there any way to get rid of this? Will google eventually update it or since such an old thread will it stay like that? Thanks.

Google will eventually remove it, but I believe they have a process for expediting that.

Read what they have here: http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=164734

Google's cache can take up to a couple months to update.

fugu, pretty sure that tool can only be used by a site's webmaster.

rivka: the page explicitly states that if the content has been removed, anyone can request the cache of the content be removed.
