Evening Hatrack! [Hat] Long time no see...

This is mainly for those of you who have had experience with internships/working in other countries.

As a relatively recent college grad who already has experience studying abroad, I've been thinking of doing a Masters/certification abroad, and in particular getting a degree in TESL (I'm a Spanish major).

So, my question to you is what sort of programs have you gone through that you would recommend to other people?

Your humble opinions would be greatly appreciated

All I can say is I wish you luck and hope you can wish me luck in turn as I have the same plans on the back burner so to speak, as I intend to apply to JET and teach english in Japan once I get my CompSci degree.

My only rough plan thus far is to try to learn conversational Japanese in four years.

Kelly, I haven't gone abroad myself but am about to finish a master's in ESL, and many of my classmates have taught abroad and/or are planning to.

One friend taught a year in Seoul, Korea and said it was a wonderful experience. I know many who plan to go teach in Japan. What I have been told is that you need a master's degree to teach at the university level in most places, and there are many, many programs that will just take you with a bachelor's to teach English at the secondary level.

I know little about obtaining a master's in another country. Some of my classmates have expressed really good experiences with Peace Corps, but that may not be what you want.

Good luck!
