This is topic If Humans have ascribed to Robots their qualities, then is Man not the machine? in forum Books, Films, Food and Culture at Hatrack River Forum.
Birthed from blackness, 9 months unseen, Enters the world, the soft machine
It's circuits cast of blood and will, Each synapse bred to live and kill,
The soft machine, it's programs strive, To keep the march of flesh alive
Mechanical empires, constructed death, A border crossed, can mean no less
The soft machine, it's hard empire, At odds against its own desire.
When light of day cascades to night, The softest dreams paint lost delight.
Yet paced decay and time infernal, The soft machine is not eternal .

When you put an apostrophe in "it's," you're indicating that it's a contraction (i.e. "it is.") If you're using the possessive pronoun "its," you don't need an apostrophe.
