quote:I had recently read The Elegant Universe, a non-fiction book about string theory, which talked about the concept of curled dimensions, and I wondered what would happen if our time dimension somehow got mixed up with a space dimension. From all that I got the idea of west being the future, and a train that had to keep going west.

This was my favorite story in this issue. I especially liked the <surprising to me> ending.

SPOILERS . . . . . . . . .
I was expecting some sort of sacrifice-- that's just how Eric rolls.
I did NOT expect them to pull him out of the time-stop. I really liked the idea of having a huge, floating community that is always moving west.
