I just recieved an advertisement from the US Navy. (Spammed from one of the job sites I was on a month ago-no doubt)
They want ME to consider a career in the Navy?
If they are asking for me to sign up, we have hit the bottom of the barrell.
I think I'd do more for my country by burdening the enemy with my presence than getting in the way of our good soldiers.

Better you than the 80-something-year-old woman who uses a walker that the Marines sent snail mail to asking her to join up.

The Navy and Air Force are meeting their recruitment requirements. It's the Army and Marines (i.e. the ones that are getting wounded and dying) that are having trouble meeting their quotas. They even have a "blue to green" program to try to get Navy and Air Force personnel to join the Army or Marines.
The Navy probably just picked you because they thought you'd look good in a sailor suit.
