In First Meetings, the first story is about Ender's father, it's called The Polish Boy. Does anybody know if there is a long version of that outside of First Meetings, like the short Ender's Game in the back???

wieczorek, I just got done browsing all his works listed under the OSC Library above, complete bibliography, and don't see any longer version of that -- however, it also looks like that page hasn't been updated in awhile, because it is still saying that First Endings has not yet been published...

The very first publication of THE POLISH BOY was in the first edition hardcover of First Meeting: 3 Stories From The Enderverse. The subterranean press one. It's since been reprinted in the Tor hardcover "First Meetings In The Enderverse", which in addition to everything in the original First Meetings book (including an unaltered Polish Boy), also has a story called "Teacher's Pest", about John Paul meeting Theresa for the first time.
So that's the closest thing to an expansion of Polish Boy that's out there.

Hey, thanx guys. I read this posting on Amazon that said the first publication of Teacher's Pest was in First Meetings, but that an audio and full length novel version will be out later. I would really like to read the longer novel - the sample I read in First Meetings was really great.
